Geneva-based Mt Pelerin has unveiled a groundbreaking feature allowing self-custodial crypto wallets to function as universal accounts with dedicated IBANs. This innovation enables seamless conversion between bank transfers and cryptocurrencies while maintaining full user control over funds.

The crypto IBAN eliminates the traditional friction between decentralized finance and legacy banking systems. Users can now receive fiat deposits directly into their wallets—automatically converted to crypto—or send payments via IBAN while settling in digital assets behind the scenes.

This development marks a significant step toward practical financial sovereignty, combining Bitcoin's Core principle of self-custody with the convenience of mainstream payment rails. By abstracting blockchain complexities behind familiar banking interfaces, Mt Pelerin aims to accelerate crypto adoption without compromising decentralization.
